Five Wishes For 2008

What Matters Most?
New Year’s Eve is a good time for reflection, and prognostication, so here I go.
I have five wishes for 2008.

I hope our soldiers all come home healthy
I hope we elect an honest President — who makes rational decisions
I hope the New York Giants win their next
three
games

Happy New Year To You
Number 6: I hope [...]

Watch Potentially Historic Football

The New York Giants play the
New England Patriots tonight, in a potentially historic game tonight, and they expect to win.
Chief Osi Umenyiora said:

“We feel like we can beat anybody, whoever it is we play. We match up well with anybody, and we have a strong defense and a strong running game. And as long [...]

Potentially Historic Giants Game To Be Shown on Free TV

NFL Commissioner, Roger Goodell, announced that Saturday night’s potentially historic game between the New York Giants and the New England Patriots will be shown on network TV, instead of NFL Network, the league’s own network.
This came in response to a letter Goodell received from Senators Leahy and Specter, after their constituents complained that [...]

Trackbacks Are Working

After seven months of mostly–blissful ignorance, Where Did My Brain Go? finally has trackbacks.
Trackbacks are used by bloggers to inform each other, when they link to each others blogs. If I link to a post on someones blog, I send her a trackback, so she knows who links to her work.
I keep track of [...]

Alex Trebek’s Heart Attack

There was one significant news event (to me, anyway) while I was away from Where Did My Brain Go?
Alex Trebek, the inimitable host of Jeopardy! since 1984, suffered a heart attack on December 11, and spent four days in Cedars-Sinai hospital, in Los Angeles.
See You Next Year!
Trebek left a message to his fans [...]

Potentially Historic Football Politics

Wordnet defines monopoly as:

“a market in which there are many buyers but only one seller”

Based upon that definition, the National Football League became a monopoly in 1969, when it merged with the American Football League. There is one league, which owns everything, so they have no competition. You don’t have to be a lawyer [...]

If Bear Grylls Was Gay

Have you ever wondered what Man vs.Wild would be like if Bear Grylls was gay? No? Me either.
Rich Keith, a talented comedian from Los Angeles, thought about it, and produced Man vs. Wild, West Hollywood, a hilarious spoof of Bear Grylls and Man vs. Wild. Keith mimics Bear Grylls’s speech and movements perfectly, and [...]

What does (wt) mean?

I wanted to write about Bear Grylls today.
I have not written anything for almost a month at Where Did My Brain Go? so I turned to my favorite topic, and looked for news.
Starting Off
I started at the logical place, Bear’s Blog, but it has not been updated since November 25th. So I surfed over to [...]
