Recognizing Idiocy and Stupidity

Elmer Fudd I dislike negativity. I know that I cannot be happy all the time, but I also know that I can reduce the negative influences in my life. For example, I rarely read newspapers or watch news on television.

Unfortunately, there is one particular annoyance, which follows me everywhere:  IDIOCY

The world is full of idiots, and sadly, their numbers are increasing daily.

Therefore, I have decided to recognize them, and their idiotic behavior, with a new category at Where Did My Brain Go? named “Idiocy.”

Idiots and Morons

My traumatic brain injury, has increased my awareness of petty prejudices toward disabled people, and I was hesitant to use the term “Idiots” because my dictionary defines an idiot as:

“a person affected with idiocy; especially a mentally retarded person having a mental age not exceeding three years, and requiring complete custodial care”

My Britannica–Webster dictionary defines moron as:

“a feebleminded person having a mental age between eight and twelve years and capable of doing routine work under supervision”

Which seems more suitable. Like Bugs Bunny calling Elmer Fudd a “maroon”.

However, the nice people at Google say that idiots is a more popular search term, than “idiocy”, “morons”, “moronic”, or “stupidity”, which were my other choices.

Who Is The Biggest Idiot?

Anyone who thinks George W. Bush is doing a good job.
