Slacker Uprising is the latest documentary by Michael Moore. Moore has produced and directed three of the five highest grossing documentaries of all time. He is best known for Fahrenheit 9/11 which explains how President Bush used the events of September 11, 2001 to gain public support to invade Iraq.

Slacker Uprising follows Moore, as he travelled through 62 cities, in 20 “battleground states”, encouraging young people to vote in the 2004 Presidential election. It features Joan Baez, Roseanne Barr, Steve Earle, Tom Morello, Viggo Mortensen, and Eddie Vedder.

Moore is hoping to encourage more people to vote on Election Day, by allowing the public to download Slacker Uprising free for three weeks, beginning September 23rd. He said:

“This is being done entirely as a gift to my fans. The only return any of us are hoping for is the largest turnout of young voters ever at the polls in November.”

Yes – a free movie, by the greatest documentarian of all time.
