Senator Craig’s Arrest
Senator Craig was arrested on July 11th, in a Minneapolis airport bathroom, during a sex sting operation. Undercover police had been stationed in the Minneapolis Airports bathrooms, after reports of indecent activies.
Craig was charged with disorderly conduct, and interference with privacy. He pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct, and paid a $500 fine.
Craig initially resigned from the Senate after his conviction, but later changed his mind, about his plea, and his resignation. His lead attorney, Bill Martin said:
“Senator Larry Craig denies that he went into that restroom for anything other than to go to the restroom”
Since Craig's arrest, several other men have also claimed to have had sex with Senator Craig in airport bathrooms.
You can learn much more about his case at The Idaho Statesman, and The Smoking Gun.
Redefining Family Values
Family is everything – Michael W. Ritz
Idaho’s Hall of Fame is a subsidiary of Ritz Family Publishing, who also publish Ritz Hospitality and Western Farm, Ranch, and Dairy Magazine.
Ritz Family Publishing was founded by Michael W. Ritz in 1990, and he is currently the President and CEO.
Following the Trail
Ritz Family Publishing is a member of National Federation of Independent Business, which fights:
“every day to promote and protect free enterprise in America.”
and
“NFIB’s purpose is to impact public policy at the state and federal level and be a key business resource for small and independent business in America. NFIB also gives its members a power in the marketplace. By pooling the purchasing power of its 600,000 members, the National Federation of Independent Business gives members access to many business products and services at discounted costs. NFIB also provides timely information designed to help small businesses succeed.”
Trail’s End
NFIB rates each member of Congress on a scale of zero to 100 to:
“indicate the degree that each elected official supported the interests of the organization in that year.”
NFIB gave Senator Craig a perfect score of 100.
Larry Craig is an ideal candidate for Utah’s Hall of Fame, where perverts are apparently welcome, as long as they are good for somebody’s business.
Who Was Rated Zero By NFIB?
I compiled a list of the 166 members of Congress, which includes 41 Senators, who were rated zero by the National Federation of Independent Business from information I found on Project Vote Smart. There are no Republicans on this list.
