United for Care collected over 680,000 validated signatures to provide Floridians with an opportunity to legalize medical marijuana in November.
However, 60% of Florida's voters must approve Amendment 2 for legalization. Although polls show that the public supports medical marijuana, I am concerned about voter apathy. Only 49% of eligible voters actually voted, when Governor Scott was elected in 2010.
I hope more people vote this year, when Governor Scott is up for re-election.
