Quick Mail 1.2.5 WordPress Plugin Works on More Sites

Discover the latest version of Quick Mail.

My Quick Mail WordPress Plugin sends a quick email with an attachment from the WordPress Dashboard.

Quick Mail has options to send email to a member of your site, or anyone.

The easiest way to learn about Quick Mail is to download and try it. Quick Mail is stable, tested by WordPress users for over a year.

You can also learn more about Quick Mail from the my previous articles.

Counting WordPress Users

Quick Mail counts users to:

  1. Check for a single user during installation.
  2. Display user totals on options.

Quick Mail counts the users on a site, because a single user is special. A single user’s default setting is not to show email addresses, because the user list will only display their address.

Quick Mail 1.2.4 used the WP REST API to check for single user, during installation.

Sadly, most of the REST API is still a plugin. It must be installed separately.

Quick Mail 1.2.5 replaces the REST API with a database query, that works on every site. I would like to use the REST API in the future.

More Changes in Quick Mail 1.2.5

Coming in Quick Mail 1.3

The email could not be sent is displayed if WordPress cannot send mail for a lost password request.

Users verify their email address when they register. However, users, administrators, or anyone with access to the database, can edit it. BuddyPress sends a verification email when a user edits their address, but not WordPress.

Email Verification

Quick Mail checks the mail exchanger record on recipient domains, before sending a message. The mail exchanger record or MX, specifies the mail server that accepts messages for a domain.

It works, because there are no bug reports about being unable to send mail.

I would like to add an option to check the sender address before sending mail. A valid sender address should be a requirement.
