Quick Mail was published almost two years ago. The latest update includes an idea and a fix from two users.
I found an easy way to test Quick Mail in different languages, too.
Multiple File Uploads
Just curious. Are you planning to add multiple file upload ability to this plugin? Is so, what is the ETA?
I thought “multiple file ability’ meant adding multiple to the HTML input. Multiple lets a user hold the <Control> key on Windows and Linux, or <Command> key on Mac while clicking, to select multiple files.
However, Web browsers only allow multiple file selections in the same directory (folder). sphynxma wanted to upload multiple files from different directories.
The nice people at PHP wrote Uploading multiple files, which explained the process.
The max_file_uploads configuration value controls the number of files which can be uploaded at once. max_file_uploads was set to 20 on my test server. I do not check it, but that is a good idea for the next version.
I installed Backend Localization to add languages to the WordPress administration area.
This plugin enables you to run your blog in a different language than the backend of your blog. So you can serve your blog using e.g. German as the default language for the users, but keep English as the language for the administration. You can choose the language you want to use from all installed language files or you can install additional languages.
Where’s the Languages?
Backend Localization suggested:
If your language isn’t listed, you have to download the right version from the WordPress repository: http://svn.automattic.com/wordpress-i18n. Browse to the language folder of your choice and get the all .mo files for your WordPress Version from tags/4.5.3/messages/ or from the trunk/messages/ folder.
I used a different method, because I was unable to find French for WP 4.5.3 on the Automattic SVN link. I downloaded WordPress in French and copied its translation files in
wp-content/languages to my site.
I fixed the translation. I also added verbre’s French translation to Quick Mail 1.3.2.
